Quite mediocre!

Yesterday, my husband and I went out for dinner at the Ebony Restaurant in the Barton Center, MG Road. We had booked a table on the terrace of the restaurant well in advance as it is difficult to get one especially on the weekends.

The hotel is located on the 13th floor of the Barton Center. It is popular mainly because of the view of the Bangalore city that you get to see from the terrace of the restaurant. We had visited the restaurant a couple of years back with our office team on a colleague’s farewell. Back then, we had visited in the afternoon. So, this time we decided to visit in the evening to get a glimpse of the city from the terrace of the restaurant and have some good food too.

We reached the hotel and occupied the table that was booked for us on the terrace. The hotel seating arrangement was very mediocre to start with. The food service was slow, but the food was good. We felt the food was quite expensive for an ambience of that kind. The view of the city from the terrace was good. There was a cool breeze blowing towards us while we were enjoying the dinner. Initially, it felt good, but later I started shivering and was just longing to get back to our car 😉 Overall, the experience was ok. We didn’t really find it as good as it was rated on many food sites. But, indeed we had a good time. I guess the place doesn’t really matter when you enjoy the company of the person you are with 😛
